About Us
Disability Connections is a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities in Colorado Springs. Our mission is to break down financial barriers that limit access to quality services and supports, so that individuals with disabilities can thrive, grow, and lead full, productive, and prosperous lives.
We partner closely with A Cognitive Connection, a Program Approved Service Agency (PASA), which provides behavioral, cognitive, and supported living services. Through this collaboration, we are able to connect individuals and families with effective treatments, compassionate care, and the resources they need most.
We recognize that funding is one of the greatest challenges for families in our community. That is why Disability Connections is working to create financial opportunities, scholarships, and sustainable funding solutions that expand access to essential services. Our vision is to ensure that every individual with a qualified disability has the support they need to reach their fullest potential.
By building stronger programs and expanding resources, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities—and in turn, helping to create a more inclusive, supportive Colorado Springs community for all.

The Disability Connections Scholarship Fund helps reduce financial barriers for individuals with disabilities by providing support in three meaningful areas: therapy, wellness, and adventure.
Your donation helps turn “I wish I could” into “I can.” Every contribution to the Scholarship Fund helps provide individuals with disabilities with greater access to the experiences, services, and opportunities that help them thrive.

"Therapy Transforms Lives"Scholarship
Therapy can be an important part of building independence, developing skills, managing challenges, and improving quality of life. This scholarship helps individuals with disabilities access therapeutic services that may otherwise be difficult to afford, giving them greater opportunity to reach their personal goals and continue progressing toward greater independence.

"Active Living" Scholarship
Staying active is about more than exercise—it can support physical health, confidence, social connection, and overall well-being. The Active Living Scholarship helps individuals with disabilities participate in fitness and wellness opportunities, including memberships to YMCA and programs that encourage regular movement, healthy lifestyles, and meaningful community involvement.

"Adventures Without Limits" Scholarship
Everyone deserves the chance to explore, have fun, and create lasting memories. This scholarship helps individuals with disabilities participate in recreational experiences and adventures that may otherwise be outside their financial reach. Whether discovering a new activity, exploring the outdoors, or trying something they have never experienced before, Adventures Without Limits helps make those opportunities possible.
